I love bringing fitness to everyone, but as a new mom at the age of 40, and now pregnant with my second at 41, one of my passions is educating people on the importance of postpartum fitness. I'm not talking "get your pre-baby body back" fitness. I'm talking "bullet proof your postpartum body so you can avoid pelvic floor dysfunction (incontinance, painful sex, the constant feeling of something falling out of your rectum)" fitness.
Though I had a very active and easy pregnancy, I had an EXTREMELY difficult delivery (41 week pregnancy, sunny side up 10 pound baby delivered with forceps) which meant that my postpartum recovery required a slow rebuilding from my foundation out, plus A LOT of patience on my part. Fast forward six months postpartum for me, and I was jumping and sneezing with no leakage and carrying car seats up and down stairs like a champ! This was no accident though (unlike the accidents I had in the days after delivery), I used my extensive training in prenatal and postpartum fitness to guide my own recovery, and I want to bring that expertise to others to help them too.

About Desirée
Desirée has been dancing since the age of four, going from a technical ballet school to the Dazzlers Dance Team at the University of Florida and then as a member of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks Dance Team. Upon retiring from the Hawks, Desirée became the official fitness trainer for the Hawks Dance Team.
Desirée received her Master's of Science in Nutrition from Georgia State University in 2010 and went on to become Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR). She decided to pair her nutrition education with her background in movement, becoming a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor in 2010 as well.
Since then, Desirée has added countless other certification to her resume including, Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and Certified Prenatal/Postpartum Fitness Coach.
Desirée's most recent educational undertaking has been becoming a first-time mom at the age of 40 and a second-time mom at age 41.
Through her nutrition education and dance/fitness background, Desirée hopes to educate people on the positive effects of a healthy and active lifestyle.
